A large custom made copper part (an ornate range hood base) that took me almost three weeks to fabricate was damaged beyond repair due to an unknown impact, while in the possession of Santa Rosa Plating. The owner refused to give me the name of his insurance company or offer any compensation, or even an APOLOGY. I was forced to fabricate a replacement @ a cost out of pocket to me of almost $8,000.00 In addition, I had been quoted $800.00 for the plating of this and two other parts, and when the owner called to tell me it was ready, stated that he had decided to charge me $1,200.00. ALSO the nickel plating on the other parts proved to be way too thin and rubbed off.
